Mission Statement


The mission of the PFCA is to increase community awareness of the skills, abilities and knowledge required of and mandated by Statute of the Whitestown Police Officers & Firefighters serving the community.


The PFCA is designed to expose participants to a wide spectrum of topics required of today’s police officers and firefighters.  This will include an introduction to critical thinking skills, as well as practical exercises designed to expose participants to performance standards required of today’s police officers & firefighters. Participants will also be expected to engage in relevant discussion regarding current and topical issues within the Community, State, Nation and World related to public safety.




Participants must be a resident of the Town of Whitestown or Worth Township. Participants will be required to complete a background information sheet as well as a waiver for participation in the PFCA.  Participants will be expected to attend and participate in all classes.  More than 3 un-excused absences may make the participant ineligible for graduation from the program and/or participation in the PFCA alumni group.


Participants must be at least 18 years of age and not a high school student. Participants are required to pay a onetime $35.00 fee for participation in the PFCA which will go towards off-setting equipment and supply cost. Additional fees may be assessed, with group approval, for special trainings and/or activities.
